Spaceflight is the use of space technology to achieve the flight of spacecraft into and through outer space. Spaceflight is used in space exploration, and also in commercial activities like space tourism and satellite telecommunications. Additional non-commercial uses of spaceflight include space observatories, reconnaissance satellites and other earth observation satellites. A spaceflight typically begins with a rocket launch, which provides the initial thrust to overcome the force of gravity and propels the spacecraft from the surface of the Earth. Once in space, the motion of a spacecraft—both when unpropelled and when under propulsion—is covered by the area of study called astrodynamics. Some spacecraft remain in space indefinitely, some disintegrate during atmospheric reentry, and others reach a planetary or lunar surface for landing or impact. From Wikipedia under the

From Google News Search: "Spaceflight" Children spaceflight is possible? Q. When I was younger I was dreaming in order to become the astronaut, I have 23 years now and I am wondering whether it was possible currently or in the near future to send kid into space, of course i don't think about small child but of the teenager about 12-17 years old. Some day Mankind will have must to move to space. I was reflecting on it when whether the teenager didn't have to however I know problems at the launch of rocket with high g-level which are occurring that teenagers are using roller coaster which g-level are exceeding frequently in 3 G reaching even 4 G. Also, I don't think the stress of extreme G forces have been tested on children. Answered by Adam - Sat Jun 20 15:00:18 2009 are there any astronauts who have reported a u.f.o.while in spaceflight? Q. Please help. We need to write an essay, and i don't know the limitations or benefits of space flight. Also, we need to discuss how other scientific ideas and inventions are applied in spaceflight? (besides Newtons laws) please help! Asked by ~!!*sOf*!!~ - Sun Dec 20 08:25:57 2009 - - 3 Answers - 0 Comments A. The Hubble Site has some fascinating videos about space. Because distances between stars, planets, moons and galaxies are so vast, conventional spacecraft are not powerful enough to cover these distances in a timeframe that is comfortable for human beings. For example, it may take 50 to 100 years to reach another galaxy or another star system. However, researchers are trying to develop Anti-Matter spacecraft which will hopefully transform space travel. For example, it could reduce the transit time to Mars from 8 months to 1 month. There are many technical hurdles to overcome since the Anti-Matter must be extracted from Colliders/Super Colliders, such as CERN. Then the atomic particles (i.e., positrons) have to be contained with… [cont.] Answered by delta dawn - Sun Dec 20 09:39:54 2009 From Yahoo Answer Search: "Spaceflight" |
