An airline provides air transport services for passengers or freight, generally with a recognized operating certificate or license. Airlines lease or own their aircraft with which to supply these services and may form partnerships or alliances with other airlines for mutual benefit. Airlines vary from those with a single airplane carrying mail or cargo, through full-service international airlines operating hundreds of airplanes. Airline services can be categorized as being intercontinental, intra continental, domestic, or international and may be operated as scheduled services or charters. Q. back in the 1980s you could go fed ex dhl UPS and Other freight airlines.. can the public still get these tight discounted fares? Asked by Partygal - Mon Jun 16 11:10:32 2008 - - 1 Answers - 0 Comments A. I know that UPS had a passenger operation for awhile, but it was abandoned a long time ago. They tried using one plane for both passengers and freight, but found that they didn't have enough time left over to service the aircraft. I have never heard of DHL doing this. So, no, that's no longer available. Answered by Kissthepilot - Mon Jun 16 12:09:24 2008 From Yahoo Answer Search: "Airlines"
