Aeronautics (from Greek aero which means air or sky and nautis which means sailor, i.e. sailor of the air or sky) is the science involved with the study, design, and manufacture of flight-capable machines, or the techniques of operating aircraft. While the term—literally meaning "sailing the air"—originally referred solely to the science of operating the aircraft, it has since been expanded to include technology, business and other aspects related to aircraft. One of the significant parts in aeronautics is a branch of physical science called aerodynamics, which deals with the motion of air and the way that it interacts with objects in motion, such as an aircraft. Aviation is a term sometimes used interchangeably with aeronautics, although "aeronautics" includes lighter-than-air craft such as airships, while "aviation" does not.

A. I did a simple search [Mississauga physics aeronautics] Do you know of this society? If they don't suit your needs, perhaps someone there could advise you.

What jobs can you do with an Aeronautics/Engineering degree?
Q. - Could I get a job in mission control for NASA? - Could I work for the defense section as an analyst for the government (Department of Defenses ??) Please tell me what I could do with this. I also have a minor in physics if that helps.

I am a 14-year old interested in aeronautics engineering, can anybody help me please?
Q. I am interested in aerodynamics and engineering aircraft, but I don't have many informational resources readily avaliable to turn to. Can anybody help me please? Thanks, it is greatly appreciated! Thanks for your answers so far! There are currently multiple electives avaliable in my school, maybe I could ask at the office if they could arrange such a class as aerodynamic studies or something, because in the "Paxton Patterson lab" in science, flight as a module is only avaliable to students a grade lower than me now.

A. There's an organization that exists for people exactly like you: the Junior Engineering Technical Society (JETS). Click the first two links below. I think you'll find the others interesting, as well.
