GNU Free Documentation License How long after you lost your mucus plug did labour start? Q. I'm 41 weeks 6 days pregnant today and had my bloody show through out the night. Im due to get induced tomorrow evening at 6 but would really like to spend the first part of labour at home instead of at the hospital. How likely is it I will go in to full labour between now and then? Will my induced labour be a bit easier now that my body is actually starting labour itself? Thanks for your answers. Asked by Rach - Sat Apr 4 05:25:40 2009 - - 4 Answers - 0 Comments A. They may not even need to induce at this point. It sounds as if you are finally going to go into labor on your own. Walk. Walk. Walk. You could be in by tonight if you walk. Drink plenty of water and make sure everything is ready. If you DO have to go to induction, yes, it will likely be easier because, if you are having your bloody show, you are likely at least 1-2 centimeters dialated by now. Much better than starting from zero. BUT - if the doctor stripped your membranes at the last appointment trying to start labor (likely if you are this far along), this may not be the actual bloody show. Answered by Heather W - Sat Apr 4 05:37:55 2009 How long does it take for acupuncture to induce labour? Q. I'm 40+3 today and had some acupuncture to help induce labour. The woman said to be prepared for something to happen tonight or early morning. My friend had it done and sure enough she went into labour at 3am. Does anyone else have any positive news for me? Is it likely to happen or just as likely not to work? I had it done around 1pm today and it's now 6.30pm and I've had a few niggles but nothing serious. Asked by Vix-wants-another-baby - Tue Jul 1 13:27:27 2008 - - 3 Answers - 0 Comments A. We have an integrative medicine department at my hospital and they often try to stimulate or augment labor using acupuncture, and personally, I have never once seen it work. Good luck to you though! Your baby's head could still pop in and out as yet, my first baby was in and out for about 3 weeks, this one has been in and out twice already and I'm not due for a week. Some things that might work are: sex hot curry raspberry leaf tea castor oil (wouldn't recommend it though - you may just end up with diarrhoea) lots of walking Answered by Millie & Yian's Mummy - Tue Aug 11 16:18:31 2009 From Yahoo Answer Search: "labour" Labor is work of any kind
